MGSDII wanted to share with you the exciting news that MGSDII is launching a first-of-its-kind, innovative visiting peace scholar program in partnership with the University of San Diego’s Joan B. Kroc School for Peace Studies.
In January 2027, MGSDII and Kroc will for the first time offer courses co-taught by Jewish and Arab experts from Israel in conflict resolution and peace studies.
Our inaugural team of professors will be Dr. Maya de Vries and Mariam Kabaha, Esq., two incredible educators who hold senior leadership positions at the Hebrew University aChord Center, a non-profit organization specializing in the social psychology of social change to foster equity and shared spaces between Jews and Arabs in Israel.
We are honored to welcome Maya and Mariam to San Diego, and we are grateful to Dean Darren Kew for his collaboration on this meaningful initiative.
And, we are extremely excited that our future leaders will be receiving timely, in-depth knowledge about the complexities of modern Israel and avenues for building peace between Israelis and Palestinians, and cutting-edge practical tools for future careers in peacebuilding worldwide.
Thank you so much for your support of our mission.
We look forward to sharing more with you as the courses unfold.
