Technion and UCSD Students Learned Together
UCSD Urban Studies students and faculty welcomed their Technion University counterparts last week for in-person classroom collaboration discussions and presentations. Students explored the interplay of planning, technology, diversity, community, and the environment, with a particular focus on San Diego’s Logan Heights and the Israeli town of Jisr Al-Zarqa.
At a lunch discussion at Leichtag Commons in Encinitas, students and faculty spoke about the program’s impact with MGSDII. UCSD student Jacqueline shared, “I was deeply inspired by the projects and research conducted by students from Technion University. Witnessing large-scale impacts in Jisr and also being a part of community-engaged efforts in Logan has been so rewarding and motivates me to stay involved in programs and careers that work closely with communities through bottom-up efforts and organizations.”
