This brilliant film, made by one of Israel’s most important documentary filmmakers, tells the  story of 18 children born and raised in the first kibbutzim in Israel beginning almost two decades before the establishment of the state in 1948.  As the stories of the children’s lives unfold, so do the long-term impacts of this ideological and social experiment, with ramifications that still reverberate in today’s Israel.
